All Webster County Schools will be closed today, January 10th.

This Friday, December 22nd will be a Faculty Senate two-hour early dismissal for students. Christmas Break will last through January 1st with students and staff returning on January 2nd. The Webster County Board of Education would like to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season.

All out-of-county trips and afterschool programs for this evening, December 18, 2023, are canceled; however, there will be practice for middle school wrestling, high school wrestling, and high school basketball for both the boys' and girls' teams. The activity bus will leave Webster County High School at 5:30 this evening.

The Webster County High School Student Council is hosting a Holiday Tree Community Service Project supporting the following local organizations: Seniors: Foster Children Juniors: Starting Points Supply Pantry Sophomores: Saving Webster Dogs Freshmen: Women's Aid in Crisis 8th Grade: WCHS Clothing Closet 7th Grade: WCHS Backpack Program Students are encouraged to donate needed items based on their grade's selected charitable organization. No monetary donations will be accepted. All items can be brought to WCHS to be placed on and around the trees in the commons. Items eligible to be donated are listed in the commons as well. You may contact any member of the student council if you have questions. Let's all work together to support our local organizations and help everyone have a thankful and festive holiday season.

There will be no school on Friday, November 3rd for students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Staff will be meeting with families for student conferences that day. If you have any questions, please contact your child's school.

Webster County Schools will be hosting a Taste of Kindergarten event on Friday, May 19th for any student who will be entering Kindergarten this fall. Glade Elementary will be from 8:00-11:30 am and Webster Springs Elementary will be from 8:30-12:00. If your child did not attend PreK they may register at https://forms.office.com/r/TGtrVg2fBP. Students currently enrolled in PreK do not need to register for this event. Additional information is available on the PreK page of the WCBOE website and on each school's website. Webster County Schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, March 15, 2023 due to weather and road conditions. The County Social Studies Fair will be on Thursday the 16th now. Central Office staff will report on a two hour delay.

Superintendent Rogers has declared this Friday, March 10, 2023 to be a Remote Learning Day for all students and staff at all schools. The Girls’ Basketball Team will be returning to Charleston this Friday 3/10/23 for the second round of the State Tournament. Spirit buses will be available. Students in grades 7-12 wishing to attend will need to be at Webster County High School by 10:00 a.m. or meet a bus at the nearest elementary school at the following times: Hacker Valley Elementary- 9:00 a.m. Webster Springs Elementary- 9:30 a.m. Glade Elementary- 9:30 a.m. Students will return to Webster County High School by approximately 5:30 p.m. and could ride back to their starting grade school. Parents would need to make arrangements to pick up their child at the following times: Webster County High School- 5:30 p.m. Glade Elementary- 5:45 p.m. Webster Springs Elementary- 5:45 p.m. Hacker Valley Elementary- 6:00 p.m. If your child wishes to attend and ride the spirit bus, for those students in grades 7-12, please sign the permission form being sent home tomorrow and return to school along with $6.00 for the ticket by Thursday morning 3/9/23. Your child will also need to bring money for food because they are not permitted to take items into the Charleston Coliseum.
